snag-weapons (A GTAV FiveM Weapons Overhaul)

A FiveM resource that changes all game weapons' metadata. This changes damage, animations,

damage types, ammo count, defaults, camera angles, aiming, recoil, weapon effects, smoke effects, etc.

All vehicle-mounted weapons are disabled, and combat rolling has been removed.

For examples:

I've removed the sniper scope, added third-person aim, added third-person focus zoom, added recoil, lowered bullet speed (to simulate projectile fire), lowered first-person FOV, added first-person ADS, changed first-person weapon offsets to fit the gun properly for first-person ADS, etc.

I've edited the default pump shotgun to work as a less-than-lethal bean-bag shotgun by changing the bullet type, lowered the bullet count to 1, increased accuracy, lowered bullet spread to 0, balanced force applied, balanced min and max force applied distance, limited the distance to hit to only a few meters, changed damage type to that of the stungun, changed the damage over time to 7 seconds (how long your character is tased), etc.

Other examples:

I've named all the weapons after their IRL counterparts:

I've removed all the weapon components from weapons:

I've made each weapon require the correct ammo type:

Add-on weapons will be added to the project as I go through them.

I've added inventory icons for the weapons, attachments, and ammo used in these changes. I've also included my ox_inventory data/weapons.lua to provide compatibility with the weapon changes.

If you're not using ox_inventory then these changes will have to be made to your server manually.

All the weapons have been re-balanced and changed thoroughly in an attempt to prevent a 'meta' weapon choice.

The TTK for all guns is lowered, not by just lowering damage. There are slightly lower damage values, but a rise in weapon spread and recoil will result in more missed shots.

Each gun type has its strengths and weaknesses compared to others in its own category.

Most of the testing done with this project has been 1v1 PvP testing, so larger shootouts have yet to determine any changes made to this balance.

I plan to consistently update and improve upon the project well after release. Any updates/changes will come free to buyers, with a server check to verify the most current version, with update info being printed into server consoles as updates are released.
